Krazy Netz was started by two guys from Kansas. The idea of team-themed nets was hatched when one of them, Troy, who happens to be a big Kansas State University fan, needed to replace the worn basketball net on the hoop in his driveway. It was what hangs in most driveways; a weathered, frayed, dirty white nylon net. It has seen a lot of action over the years from his five children. Being a loyal Wildcat fan, he thought his kids would enjoy (ok, he would enjoy) having a purple net hanging from his hoop. After trying literally dozens of dyes and coloring processes, and spending more than he ever thought he would on nets, he came up with the right mix of dye and nylon. He added a K-State Powercat patch to the front. When his friends saw his handiwork, the response was overwhelming! Krazy Netz was born.
We are a very small company headquartered in Overland Park, Kansas. The company's "production facility" (where we dye the nets) is located 30 miles west, in Lawrence, Kansas, the Mecca of college basketball.
